Revanth Reddy Gives First Shock To Jagan!

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy has given his first shock to his counterpart AP CM YS Jagan. During his visit to the national capital Delhi, Revanth Reddy met several Union Ministers including Home Minister Amit Shah. Revanth Reddy appealed to the Centre to collect Rs 408 crore from AP for Telangana.

Apparently, even after the bifurcation, AP continued to use the Telangana’s properties for which AP has to pay Rs 408 crore to Telangana. CM Revanth Reddy urged the Centre to collect the dues.

CM Revanth Reddy wanted the money to be collected from Andhra Pradesh for using the buildings like Raj Bhavan, High Court, Lokayukta and State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) in Hyderabad.

This is not all. Revanth Reddy also requested Amit Shah to focus on claiming the ownership of institutions, which were not mentioned in the bifurcation act, by Andhra Pradesh. Overall, Revanth Reddy has given his first shock to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. His first official visit to Delhi witnessed slew of requests and series of appeals to the Centre.

Metro Realignment, Funds for New Houses, National Project Status for Palamuru-RR Lift Irrigation

During his meeting with Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, CM Revanth Reddy urged him to approve the proposals for Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-2.

He emphasized the need for the realignment of the Hyderabad Metro Second Phase, specifically the BHEL-Lakdikapul and Nagol-LB Nagar corridors spanning 26 km at a cost of Rs 9,100 crore, and the Airport Metro Corridor-Rayadurg-Shamshabad airport corridor covering 32 km with an expenditure of Rs 6,250 crore. Revanth Reddy requested the Union Minister to consider a joint venture between the Central and State governments for this project.

Additionally, he informed the Union Minister about the state government’s plan to develop the Musi Riverfront in Hyderabad, incorporating features such as amusement parks, waterfalls, children’s water sports, business centers, and shopping complexes. He sought necessary support from the Union Minister for this initiative.

Revanth Reddy also conveyed that the state government intended to construct Indiramma houses for the economically disadvantaged in the state. He urged the Union Minister to grant permission for providing these houses under the Prime Minister’s Awas Yojana. Furthermore, CM Revanth appealed to the minister to release the pending funds and sanction new houses for Telangana.

In a separate meeting with Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekawat, CM Revanth Reddy along with Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, advocated for conferring national project status to the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy lift irrigation project.

They highlighted that this project would provide irrigation to 12.3 lakh acres in districts facing drought and fluoride issues, namely Nagarkurnool, Mahabubnagar, Vikarabad, Narayanapet, Rangareddy, and Nalgonda. The project is also expected to supply drinking water to 1,226 villages across six districts, including Hyderabad city.
