Just 1 Week After Joining, Ambati Rayudu Quits YSRCP

Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu, who just joined a week ago in the ruling YSRCP led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, seems to have a change of his mind. Ambati Rayudu announced that he will be leaving the YSRCP. At the time of joining YSRCP, it is reported that Ambati would contest for Lok Sabha on YCP ticket.

While Ambati did not mention the exact reasons for quitting, he reasoned that he wants to stay away from politics for sometime. This comes as a huge blow to the YCP.

Amba Rayudu is the brand ambassador for AP government’s Aadudam Andhra program. With announcement of his resignation to YCP, Ambati indeed gave a big shock. It needs to be seen how the ruling party would respond to this development. It can be noted that several YSRCP sitting MLAs and MPs are leaving the party in the last week. Probably this inspired Ambati as well.
