Rich YCP MP Ready To Join TDP?

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is changing his MLA/MP candidates left right and center. While those who get the tickets are starting the prepare for the election season, those who are denied the tickets are looking for alternatives like TDP and JSP. The list of YCP defectors is getting bigger every day and it is likely to have a big addition now in the form of Magunta Sreeenivasulu Reddy.

Magunta won as MP from Ongole in 2019 and he has been loyal to the party for the last 5 years. He is one of the financially well-established MPs in the party and is capable of funding not just his parliamentary campaign but also those of multiple MLA candidates in Ongole. But despite these riches, Magunta is said to have faced a thumbs down from Jagan.

Jagan is said to be seeing YV Subba Reddy or his son Vikranth Reddy as suitors for the Ongole MP ticket. Magunta has caught the signal from Jagan and has started to plan his alternative motives. He has reportedly gotten in touch with TDP leaders and he was promised either Ongole MP ticket or Nellore MP ticket.

Chandra Babu Naidu too praised Magunta in his meeting yesterday and thanked him for refraining from abusing him and Lokesh, despite the pressure from YCP to do so. This indicated goodwill between Magunta and TDP.

The seasoned MP already has ties with TDP as he contested from Ongole(MP) in 2014 on TDP ticket and narrowly lost to YV Subba Reddy. This electoral fight scenario could be repeated again if Magunta goes back to TDP and Jagan gives the ticket to Subba Reddy. Magunta will be looking to take revenge this time.
