One of the main strengths of AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy is his mass outreach programs. He could spearhead a thumping campaign before the 2019 polls through the Padayatra and the multiple public meetings he held all along the way. Now that the 2024 elections are fast approaching, Jagan is bringing back his trump card as he has reportedly decided to hold 100 public meetings and events in the next three months.
Jagan will start cadre meetings with YCP leaders and root-level leaders from January 25th and once he is done with this, he will move on to the public meetings plan. This will be a show of strength from Jagan before the polls.
The blueprint for these meetings is such that Jagan is likely to cover 100 assembly constituencies through the 100 meetings that are scheduled. Based on his schedule, he will cover 1 or possibly 2 events per day for the next few weeks before AP polls are held. The intention here is to get close to the masses, who helped Jagan to come to power in 2019. YCP thinktank is preparing the schedule for these 100 meetings and it will come to action soon, reportedly.
With Chandra Babu already starting the Raa Kadalira program and attracting huge crowds to his public shows, Jagan might have decided it is time for him also to get into the election mood with further delay. It is going to be hectic for Jagan to fulfill his CM duties and also hold 1-2 public meetings per day but that is the price that he has to pay to retain the CM seat in 2024.
