With the elections fast approaching, YSRC is looking to add cinema glamour to its line of attack. There are existing rumors that YCP could give MP tickets to Ali and VV Vinayak who are interested in contesting in the election. There has been a parallel murmur that late superstar Krishnam Raju’s wife and Prabhas’s aunt Shyamala Devi is also approached by YCP for the Narsapuram MP constituency.
Shyamala Devi is currently in the hometown of the Uppalapati family, Mogalthuru for Krishnam Raju’s Jayanthi celebrations. While interacting with the media on the occasion, she was asked about the possibility of joining YCP and contesting in the next election.
Shyamala Devi vaguely replied, “I am here to fulfill the philanthropic wishes of Krishnam Raju Garu. Once this is done, I will definitely clarify the questions you are asking about my political entry. There is still time for it”.
If Shyamala Devi really had no intention of political entry, she could have easily abrupted the question and confirmed she had no political plans on the horizon. But she said she would give more clarity on this when the right time comes and this has led to netizens speculating if Prabhas’s aunt would actually contest in the MP polls on the YCP ticket.
YCP is in search of the right candidate for Narsapuram after the defiant sitting MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju is openly rebelling against the party. But will Shyamala Devi accept YCP’s proposal and contest from Narsapuram on their ticket?
