KTR Urged People Not To Pay Electricity Bills

BRS working president KTR has not been missing any single opportunity to attack the Congress government in Telangana ever since Revanth Reddy assumed charge as the second Chief Minister of the state. In the absence of his father and BRS president KCR, who is currently on his road to recovery due to hip surgery, KTR is leading the party in all activities like questioning the government over fulfilling its election promises.

Among the six guarantees made by the INC in its election manifesto, Gruha Jyothi, which ensures a free supply of electricity to all households with domestic low-tension connections up to 200 units usage, is one of the biggest attractions that drew massive attention from all quarters.

Speaking at a recent public gathering as part of the preparation for the Loksabha elections, KTR urged the people of Telangana to not pay electricity bills for January and also asked them to send bills directly to the address of INC president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi. He pointed out that the Congress party promised to implement all guarantees within 100 days, but so far failed to take any steps to execute them on time.

KTR labelled Revanth Reddy as ‘Chota Modi’ and called him the ‘Eknath Shinde of Congress ‘. KTR alleges that the CM has controversial dealings with Adani.

Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy’s government is working to come up with a comprehensive electricity policy to ensure uninterrupted power supply across the state and also to implement the Gruha Jyothi scheme very soon. Sources close to the government revealed that the scheme would cost the exchequer a whopping 4200 Crores every year.
