Last September, the Governor of Telangana, Tamilisai created a sensation by rejecting the reference of the BRS government for the appointment of D Sravan and Sathyanarayana for the MLC posts under the Governor quota. This time, the governor has finished the MLC nomination procedure smoothly.
Governor Tamilisaid approved the candidature of Professor M Kodandaram, the president of Telangana Jana Samithi, and Amer Ali Khan, news editor of Urdu newspaper The Siasat Daily.
These two individuals will be accorded with the MLC post under the Governor’s quota. Unlike last term, where the Governor rejected the names proposed by BRS and called for a more ‘Gentlemanly’ approach, she has cleared the nomination file sent by the Revanth Reddy’s Congress government without any tussle. Earlier, Revanth Reddy openly stated that they will honor Kodandaram with MLC post for supporting them in Assembly elections.
