Telangana MLA Demolishes Own House for Road Widening

Among many elected MLAs in the Telangana state in 2023, BJP MLA Venkata Ramana Reddy is someone who turned everyone’s attention towards him by flagging victory against both KCR and Revanth Reddy. Now, he is trending again for an exemplary move that no one would ever have thought would become possible.

Venkata Ramana Reddy, the current MLA of Kamareddy constituency, has taken the initiative to demolish his own house to facilitate road expansion. He initiated the procedure immediately, paving the way for the officials to quickly finish the demolition.

This decision from the MLA has garnered praise and admiration from the public. The road widening project in Kamareddy became necessary due to the narrow width of the existing road. To execute this plan, structures obstructing the road needed to be removed.

Consequently, authorities issued notices to structures, including his house, along the stretch from the MLA’s residence to the old bus stand.

Notably, government adviser Shabbir Ali’s residence and two movie theaters were also identified as obstacles to the road expansion project. Despite the inconvenience caused to his own property, Ramana Reddy’s proactive approach in supporting the road widening initiative has been commended.
