Andhra Pradesh PCC chief YS Sharmila’s son Raja Reddy tied the knot with Priya Atluri in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, at the Umaid Bhawan. The wedding ceremony took place with only close family members and friends present. The pictures and a cinematic video from the event went viral on social media, and many pointed out the absence of Sharmila’s brother, AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, at the event.
The Sangeet and Mehindi ceremonies were conducted on the 16th, followed by the wedding ceremony and the special prayers for the newly married couple.
YS Sharmila shared pictures of the wedding on social media, and the newlywed couple looked stunning in the photos.
“The most beautiful couple, made for each other, steps into the marital bliss, and I could feel my father, Late Dr YSR showering his blessings from the Heaven. Solemn, yet splendid, the occasion is here to be etched on our hearts forever. I greet the couple that they be blessed with unlimited joy, infinite love for each other, and a wonderful life ahead. #RajaPriya” wrote Sharmila.
On January 17, Jagan attended his nephew’s engagement ceremony in Hyderabad and blessed the couple-to-be. Jagan expressed a desire to take a family photo during the event, but Sharmila declined despite repeated requests from Jagan and their mother, Vijayamma. A video of this moment, where Sharmila hesitated to pose for the photo, has since gone viral on social media.
Everyone predicted that Jagan won’t be attending the event and as expected, he skipped the grand occasion.
