Mangalagiri ex-MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy went on a roundtrip in the last two months as he quit YSR Congress, went to Congress along with Sharmila, and again returned to YSR Congress 6 weeks before the polls. He met Jagan at the CMO today and was formally welcomed back into the party by the CM.
Alla Ramakrishna Reddy was given YCP Mangalagiri electioneering duties along with Ponnur and Guntur Lok Sabha duties. But contrary to the rumors, Ramakrishna Reddy is not being given the Mangalagiri MLA ticket in the coming election despite his successful campaign against Nara Lokesh in 2019.
Speaking to the scribes, Alla Ramakrishna said Nara Lokesh lost to an OC candidate in 2019(RK himself) and he will lose to a BC candidate in 2024. This confirmed that Alla Ramakrishna Reddy is not getting the Mangalagiri MLA ticket and he won’t contest against Nara Lokesh. But he announced he would put his best efforts into YCP’s win in Mangalagiri.
Vijayasai Reddy recently announced that a BC woman will be contesting against Nara Lokesh and YCP is sticking to this plan, according to the latest confirmation from Ramakrishna Reddy. The candidate is set to be officially announced soon.
