A fateful car accident resulted in the youngest MLA of the BRS party, Lasya Nadnitha’s tragic passing away today. The final rites were completed with state honors this evening as the family bid an emotional farewell to the young politician who succumbed to the injuries she sustained due to the accident in the wee hours of February 23rd.

Lasya Nanditha’s sister Niveditha has reportedly filed a police complaint against the car driver who is being treated at a hospital after he too sustained injuries in the accident. The case has been filed at Patancheruvu police station.

Negligence and rash driving cases under section 304 are alleged against Akash, the driver of the car and he is also the designated PA of Lasya. The preliminary investigation from the police revealed that the driver was driving the car at a high speed and he was sleepy.

Lasya Nanditha suffered a left leg fracture, cracked ribs, and grave head injuries in the accident and she tragically died on the spot. The driver broke his leg and is being treated at a private hospital. The police will investigate him once he recovers.
