Who Is Contesting Against Kodali & Vallabhaneni Vamsi?

The keenly anticipated preliminary list of candidates of the Telugu Desam and Janasena alliance is out now and there are debates about the merits and demerits of certain candidates from key constituencies. Two of the more anticipated constituencies are Kodali Nani’s Gudivada and Vallabhaneni Vamsi’s Gannavaram as these two ex-TDP firebrands are with Jagan’s party now.

TDP candidates Venigandla Ramu and Yarlagadda Venkat Rao will be contesting in Gudivada and Gannavaram respectively.

Venigandla Ramu said he will gift the Gudivada seat to Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan by defeating the YCP candidate. “While the TDP confirmed me as the Gudivada candidate, YCP doesn’t even know whom to field here. That Kodali Nani doesn’t even know if he will get the ticket or not. He is of no match to me”.

Yarlagadda Venkat Rao, on the other hand, moved from YCP to TDP after Vallabhaneni Vamsi switched from TDP to YCP. He was given the Gannavaram MLA ticket on TDP’s behalf and he is also determined to defeat YCP here.

While TDP and JSP announced the candidates for the alliance, YSR Congress hasn’t yet announced Kodali Nani and Vallabhaneni Vamsi’s candidacies in Gudivada and Gannavaram respectively, though they are the strong favorites to get YCP tickets.
