Since last night, the shocking and tragic passing away of commoner Geethanjali has become the talking point on social media. Upon primary understanding, and the FIR report, Geethanjali fell under a train which severely injured her and she later succumbed to the injuries at the hospital. But there is a huge political brawl that has been set in motion due to this shocking incident.
Initially, Geethanjali got caught in a social media storm after a video of her expressing happiness over getting house plot under CM Jagan’s housing scheme went viral. She was seen proactively expressing her happiness over securing a housing plot.
But sadly for her, there was a round of intense trolling and social media mockery on this video as a few called her paid artist.
Then, all of a sudden news broke out that Geethanjali is no more and a couple of heartwrenching pics of her two kids crying in front of the mortal remains went viral on social media.
One camp argues that Geethanjali committed suicide due to social media hate and trolling from the opposition camp just for sharing her happiness about getting the house plot. The other camp says the reason of death is not yet investigated and verified so it is not right for the first camp to politicize the death of a commoner for their gains before the election.
Whatever might be the reason, the passing of Geethanjali has left many shocked. But the real facts and hard truths behind the suicide must come out before we draw conclusions. The police investigation is underway on this matter.
