Dissatisfied Rapaka To Quit YSRCP?

After winning from Razole on Janasena ticket in 2019, Rapaka Varaprasad immediately switched sides and joined YSR Congress Party. But he has failed to retain the Razole MLA ticket as YS Jagan allotted the seat to Gollapalli Surya Rao who came from TDP. Rapaka was compensated with Amalapuram Lok Sabha ticket.

But the latest media speculation is that Rapaka is disappointed about not getting the Razole YCP ticket. Reportedly, he thinks that he doesn’t have the resources or enough grip in YCP to lead an election campaign in Amalapuram Lok Sabha constituency and eventually win it. He reportedly believes that his strength lies in Razole.

Adding weigh to this speculation, Rapaka recently faulted Jagan’s decision to give Razole ticket to Gollapalli Surya Rao as he asked his party president to pick a winning candidate here and not to waste the ticket on Gollapalli.

The latest set of updates points out that Rapaka is disappointed over not retaining Razole MLA ticket and he is even preparing to quit YCP and join some other party and contest from here again in 2024.

But the alliance has allocated Razole ticket to Janasena upon Pawan Kalyan’s persistence and the doors are practically shut for Rapaka in JSP so we have to rule out the option of him rejoining JSP. What other options does he have? Will he leave the Amalapuram MP ticket given by Jagan and take the risk of joining some other party to contest from Razole? Only time will tell.
