The election fever has fully engulfed India with the first phase of the general election scheduled to start this April. This is likely to be made official as the Election Commission of India has called for a press meet at 3 PM tomorrow i.e., Saturday.
The EC press meet tomorrow is likely to announce the election schedule for the general election across the country and also announce the schedule for the first phase of the assembly elections in certain states, including Andhra Pradesh.
If so, we can expect to get the finalized dates of nomination filing, polling, and counting for the coming assembly and general election in Andhra Pradesh.
Andhra Pradesh entered the polls in the first phase in 2019 and the same thing is expected to happen again this term. We will get definitive clarity on this with the EC’s announcement on Saturday. The meet can be streamed on social handles operated by the Election Commission.
