The electoral bonds issue has led to heated political debates across the country and in a new unraveling, it has been identified that a company that operates from Ramky Towers, Hyderabad had bought Rs 105 crore worth of electoral bonds.
Chennai Green Woods Private Limited, which operates from Ramky Towers in Hyderabad, which is owned by Ramky Group, founded by Ayodhya Rami Reddy, has reportedly donated Rs 105 crore to political parties though electoral bonds.
After Income Tax sleuths searched the properties belonging to Ramky group in 2021, Chennai Green Woods reportedly bought bonds worth 105 crores between January 2022 – October 2023. These bonds were donated to political parties. The company is owned by Reddy’s family members.
Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy is a Rajya Sabha MP who was nominated by the YSR Congress party in 2022. The exact details and beneficiaries of these bonds could be out once the SBI presents the complete trackable data in public forums, as ordered by the Supreme Court.
