The Manchu household shares family ties with the YS family as Manchu Vishnu’s wife Viranica Reddy is a cousin of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Manchu Mohan Babu had even campaigned for Jagan’s YCP in the Tirupati area during the 2019 election but stayed away from the party after the polls. Notably, a new public statement from Manchu Manoj is being linked to an indirect attack on YS Jagan.
Speaking at a meeting at Mohan Babu’s University in Tirupati last evening, Manoj asked the young generation of voters to be careful about picking their leader. “Be wise, be wary, and pick whom you believe can help you locally and have the tendency to work on the collective good of the society. There are people who don’t support their own family members and let down those around them. How can they be of any help to you?”
Manoj didn’t name anyone in this speech but many social media users are adjudicating that the Manchu hero is indirectly targeting CM Jagan Mohan Reddy with this remark. These people liken Manoj’s public statement to the recent comment from YS Sharmila and YS Sunitha, where they openly said Jagan is not helping his own family members and instead protecting YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murderers.
While we can’t assertively say what Manoj’s intention was or whom he was targeting, his statement is trending on social platforms and the Telugu diaspora is of the opinion that he was indirectly aiming the arrow at Jagan.
