Any Link Between Vijayasai’s Tweet & Brazil Drug Bust?

As a part of Operation Garuda, the CBI seized 1000 bags of supposed dry yeast weighing 25 kilos each in Vizag. Upon preliminary investigation, it was found that these bags had narcotic substances, so CBI commissioned further investigation into this massive drug operation en route to Brazil.

The opposition parties are outrightly pointing fingers at the ruling party YSR Congress over the unearthing of massive drug peddling in the Brazil shipment that was seized in Vizag.

Considering the Brazilian links to this drug bust, an old tweet of YSRC Rajyasabha MP Vijayasai Reddy is starting to trend on social platforms now. In this tweet, Vijayasai Congratulated Luiz Silva for being elected as the new President of Brazil back in 2022.

Notably, Vijayasai was one of the very few, if not the only Telugu politician to share a congratulatory tweet to the Brazilian president. This has led to social media users speculating on the matter. An eagle-eyed Twitter user pointed out that Vijayasai was one of the few persons in India to tweet on Brazil’s president and is now linking the Brazil shipment bust in Vizag to Vijayasai’s keen interest in Brazil politics.

But given the sensitivity of the topic and the scale of the bust, we can’t point fingers at anyone prematurely. The CBI will carry out a detailed investigation and the key details about the companies and individuals involved with this massive bust will be out correspondingly.
