Lokesh with Pawan Kalyan
The election code of conduct is in place in Andhra Pradesh and consequently, there will be regulatory vehicle checks to identify if they are carrying money, gold, or other influential elements beyond the permissible limit.
But in the case of Nara Lokesh, the election code regulations seem to be more aggressive than ever.
In the last 3 days, Lokesh’s convoy was stopped by the police 4 times. Shockingly, the convoy was stopped twice today itself. Lokesh was agitated by these speciously frequent checks and he fired on the police for their over-the-top approach. He questioned the need to purposefully stop his convoy four times in three days.
One of the fundamental reasons why TDP allied with BJP was to ensure an impartial and fair & square election campaign, as opposed to 2019 when the campaign was in favor of YSRCP with BJP suspected to be behind it.
But after seeing the over-the-top police action on Lokesh’s convoy, a few TDP supporters are questioning the integrity of the central BJP while their main ally’s star campaigner Nara Lokesh is facing a suspicious situation with the police in the name of election code.
