Telugu Desam Party forged an alliance with the BJP and rejoined the NDA alliance after the break-up in 2018. This alliance has completely changed the political dynamic in Andhra Pradesh.
Chandrababu Naidu has now remarked on the nature of the alliance and the kind of permutations that went into the making of the same.
‘We need the unwavering support of the central government and that is why we forged the alliance. We must note that the NDA came to us with the proposal of the alliance and we didn’t go running after them with the intention of making it happen.’ Naidu noted.
Naidu gave the implication that the alliance was mainly formed due to the proposal pushed forward by the NDA and not the other way around. This shows that TDP led from a position of power in forming the alliance and this remark from the TDP head is leading to many discussions.
