For A Change, Revanth Reddy Flies In Regular Flight

We commonly see chief ministers traveling in special flights when there is the need to go to Delhi. Not just CMs, even senior politicians with deep pockets commission special flights for their commuting purposes. While one reason is the time-sensitive schedules of the CMs and senior politicians, the other is for security purposes.

But Revanth Reddy has set a new precedent while leaving for Delhi for a meeting with Central Congress leaders.

Revanth Reddy boarded a regular commercial flight at Shamshabad today while en route to Delhi. He was seen patiently waiting to get onboard without any hungama or fanfare.

A CM taking a special flight and that too to Delhi doesn’t happen very regularly and Revanth has stood a step apart with this decision of his.

Special flights incur additional costs and end up burning the pocket of the state exchequer. But Revanth Reddy who promised to deliver economically viable governance has walked the talk by taking a regular commercial flight which should cost less than a fraction of a special flight.

CM Revanth has scheduled meetings with Central Congress leaders in Delhi and will be tending to the same now.
