BRS Back To TRS: KTR Makes It Official?

It looked inevitable that BRS would be renamed TRS after the gutting defeat in the 2023 assembly election with the underlying commentary that Telangana natives couldn’t own the BRS name change. While this rollback has been in the news for the last few weeks, KCR and KTR haven’t commented on this matter till now.

However, putting an end to the wait today, KTR made it almost official that BRS is going back to becoming TRS again. This happened while he was asked about the massive exodus of BRS leaders joining the Congress.

Reacting to this question, KTR said “Our party has been around for 24 years and we have been through thick and thin. TRS-BRS will be with the Telangana public till the very end.” KTR consciously brought up the name TRS while the media was referring to the party as BRS. This is being seen as an official hint from KTR that BRS is going back to becoming TRS, as was being speculated by many.

This Lok Sabha election could be the last time the party is referred to as BRS in the electoral battle as henceforth, the party’s name would be rolled back to TRS.
