Finally, Anaparthy Suspense Comes To End

The Anaparthy MLA seat has become a priced possession for the TDP+ alliance with both Telugu Desam and BJP pushing hard for this seat. First, TDP announced Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy as their candidate here but BJP swooped in at the last minute and gave the ticket to Shiva Rama Krishna Raju. Locally strong Nallamilli was infuriated by this and he fought tooth and nail for the ticket.

In the end, Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy’s persistence has paid off as he has managed to turn the situation in his favor. It is principally agreed by TDP and BJP that the Anaparthy ticket will be given to Nallamilli after he joins the BJP.

Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy will soon join the BJP and contest on the party ticket from Anaparthy. He was adamant about this at first as he wanted to stay with TDP and contest on the TDP ticket, but Chandrababu and Butchiah Chowdary reportedly got in touch with him and reportedly, convinced him to make the party switch.

The TDP firebrand is locally super strong and there was the risk that his replacement could work against the TDP’s prospects here. Not just that, the Anaparthy verdict plays a crucial role in the win of Rajahmundry MP candidate, AP BJP chief Purandeshwari as well. So, TDP and BJP have worked out an amicable solution by facilitating Nallamilli’s move to BJP and subsequent contention from Anaparthy.
