Former minister and Narayana educational institutions chairman Ponguru Narayana is leaving no stone unturned to clinch victory from Nellore city Assembly constituency.
Narayana, who was defeated in 2019, is determined to win from the MLA constituency.
In 2014, Narayana did not contest but the TDP, to which he is affiliated, registered victory and came to power. Narayana, who was an MLC then, was elevated as the municipal adminsitration minister.
In 2019, he entered the political fray but was defeated with a slight margin of 3,000 votes by his rival, Anil Kumar Yadav of the YCP.
Having learnt lessons from the defeat, Narayana has prepared a solid strategy to win the elections this time. It is learnt that Narayana, it is known, knew that some TDP leaders worked against his interests during the last elections.
Hence, this time, he is being very cautious in believing the TDP men. Though the TDP functionaries are moving around him, he is carefully designating the duties to them and not relying on them completely.
There is information that Narayana is relying on the staff of his educational institutions and that they are going door-to-door to create awareness about the TDP’s Super Six promises among the electorate.
