Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis urged the electorate to vote for Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a mark of gratitude for saving their lives during Covid-19.
He lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for spearheading the Covid-19 vaccination campaign and saving many lives in the nation.
“Today, we are alive because Modi gave us the vaccine. Had we not taken the vaccine, we wouldn’t be here today to witness this rally. It was Modi who protected our lives.” Fadnavis said while addressing a rally in Sangli in Maharashtra.
Recollecting the incidents during the pandemic, Fadnavis said that Modi played a crucial role in timely manufacture of the vaccines, procurement and their distribution.
“Only a few countries had invented the vaccine. Many of the nations believed that India would seek assistance from them for Covid vaccine but Modiji brought the scientists together, provided them all the required resources and facilitiated the manufacture of the vaccine.”
Further, he credited Modi with saving the lives of people in various other nations too. “Over 100 countries acknowledge that their citizens are alive because of Modi. I would say set aside development because ‘jaan hai toh jahan hai (life is paramount). We are alive because of Modiji and for this reason, we can express our gratitude by voting for him,” Fadnavis added.
He was campaigning in support of BJP Lok Sabha candidate Sanjay Kaka Patil, who was pitched against Chandrahar Patil of the Shiv Sena (UBT).
