What Good Mudragada Did To YSR Congress?

One of the biggest weapons readied by YSR Congress supremo YS Jagan against the TDP, Janasena and BJP coalition is none other than former minister Mudragada Padmanabham. The renowned Kapu leader was expected to side-in with Pawan Kalyan and his Janasena, but surprisingly he picked up Jagan’s side.

Before the elections, many thought that the Kapu community vote-bank might get split-up by Mudragada during the elections. However, with Mudragada’s daughter tearing into her father’s stance, and Pawan Kalyan reacting like a gentleman when she came to join Janasena, have all worked in Janasena’s favour only.

Ground reports are indicating that Mudragada even failed to consolidate a part of Kapu’s votes in favour of the YSR Congress. In fact, his back-to-back criticism of Pawan Kalyan has further enraged Kapu voters, and those who used to support Jagan earlier have changed their minds at the last minute.

Looks like Mudragada too understood this phenomenon and it looks like that is the reason for his absence post the election. Except for Vanga Geetha, the MLA contestant, all the biggies fielded by YS Jagan in Pithapuram including Mudragada Padmanabham haven’t even shown their faces to the media till now— forget about visiting booths and checking the election process and progress. That’s the reason, Jagan’s followers are asking, what good Mudragada did to the party!
