Multiplexes to screen election results on June 4

We all know that it has lately become more difficult for theatres to sustain themselves as more and more people prefer to watch movies on OTT.

To make money, multiplexes resorted to hosting corporate events and screening cricket matches, along with re-releasing old films.

Even the Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha ceremony, which took place earlier this year in January, was screened in a few halls.

Now, a handful of multiplexes across major Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai and Pune decided to screen the live telecast of election results on Tuesday.

The screening, titled ‘Election Results 2024’, will run for a duration of six hours, allowing the audience to stay updated with the latest developments in real time.

This initiative has received a ‘U’ certificate from the censor board, making it suitable for all audiences. Classified under the political genre, the screening promises to offer a comprehensive view of the polling results.

The ticket for this special screening is priced at an affordable price of 99 rupees, ensuring that a wide range of audiences can participate in this significant event.
