Jagan’s Favorite Swamiji Takes ‘U Turn’!

Swami Swaroopananda, the seer of the Vizag Sarada Peetham, became famous among political circles because of his close proximity with former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

He even performed a ‘Rajasyamala Yagam’ for Jagan’s victory before the 2019 elections. He was labelled as the ‘Raja Guru’ of Jagan because of the former’s influence on the latter’s decisions on various aspects. Even Jagan’s ministers used to visit the Sarada Peetham quite often.

Now that Jagan was dethroned after the recent assembly elections and Swaroopananda seems to have taken a complete ‘ U turn’ regarding his political stance and ditched his affiliations with the previous dispensation.

Swaroopananda held a press today and expressed happiness over the victory of NDA alliance. He said that the press meet is only to clear any rumours and wrong perceptions among the political circles about Sarada Peetham, but not out of fear.

He said that Sarada Peetham never used the affinity with those in power for personal needs or interests. He blessed the new government and said that the Muhurtham fixed for Naidu’s oath taking ceremony is very auspicious and favourable.

Swaroopananda said that the blessings of Rajasyamala goddess will always be there for any government which rules the state. He added that he wishes to establish a Saradha Peetham in Amaravati as well in the coming. Interestingly, he said this after the new government formed and started works in the capital city.

Swaroopananda further clarified that this is not the first time he is showering praises on Chandra Babu Naidu because of his power and added that he held rituals in the past along with Murali Mohan for his victory in elections. He also stated that he respects Naidu and expressed hope that the new government will ensure welfare of temples across the state.

He also wished Narendra Modi who took oath yesterday for the third time as Prime Minister of India.

After seeing Swaroopananda’s volte face with this press meet immediately after the election results, many are commenting that not just politicians but even seers will find shelter under the ruling governments.
