TDP Super Seniors Eyes On Governor Post?

Telugu Desam Party is not just an unassailable force in Andhra Pradesh, it is also a super formidable outfit in the parliament. TDP is now the second biggest party in the NDA after BJP and likewise, the Chandrababu-led party is seeing increased prominence in the alliance.

This positive upswing for TDP could eventually prove to be rewarding for the party seniors and we are hearing an interesting political murmur regarding this.

According to the hearsay, the BJP high command is preparing to offer a governor post to TDP as a show of gratitude for backing the NDA alliance. It is heard that Chandrababu is excited by this offer and he could be picking either Yanamala Ramakrishnudu or Ashok Gajapati Raju for the governorship post. These are two of the senior-most loyalists of the party and have been with Chandrababu through thick and thin.

While there is no clarity on which state’s governorship the BJP is offering TDP, it is basically understood that one Governor post could certainly be accorded to either Ashok Gajapati Raju or Yanamala.

The final call on this topic could be taken by Chandrababu soon and an official announcement could follow shortly after. Given that TDP had earlier rewarded Ashok Gajapati Raju by proposing him for cabinet ministry between 2014-19, it has to be seen if the party will highlight another hardcore loyalist Yanamala this time.
