After the YSR Congress won 151 MLA seats in the 2019 election, there was a public opinion that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy started to grossly underestimate and even suppress Pawan Kalyan.
He didn’t even like addressing Pawan by his name and kept referring to him as “Datta Putrudu”. Ironically, the very same Pawan Kalyan has become the deputy CM today while pushing YSR Congress into third position.
The other day, in an eye-opening statement from YCP MLC Thota Trimurthulu, it can be understood that YCP has finally started to assess the real impact of Pawan Kalyan.
MLC Thota, who contested as an MLA from Mandapeta on the YCP ticket and lost badly has said Pawan Kalyan is the reason why the alliance formulated in the first place. “It can’t be denied that the alliance overpowered us. It is all because of Pawan Kalyan, he was the one who made it happen for them. We couldn’t estimate the public verdict and we were shocked”.
