‘Kamma & Kapu A Deadly Combination’

Historically, the Kamma and Kapu community voters never fully aligned their political interests with one single party. But for the first time in the 2024 election, the Kamma and Kapu voters entirely rallied behind one outfit and that is the TDP-JSP-BJP outfit. This can be understood if we take a look at the historic 164-seat win for the alliance in the assembly elections.

Political analyst Undavalli Arun Kumar has naturally leaned towards the YS family has now rolled out his analysis and he has said the Kamma and Kapu collaboration has sent Jagan home in this year’s election.

He said the polarization of Kamma and Kapu votes towards the alliance is unlike anything he had seen in the past and this is the reason why the alliance could see such a mighty win. “Kamma and Kapu make a deadly combination and Jagan couldn’t see this coming. He got outplayed by the alliance.”

Undavalli further analyzed that Jagan didn’t work on the party cadre and instead worked with volunteers who are just government employees. He remaked that Jagan grossly failed with the social engineering aspect. Also, he opined that Jagan arresting Chandrababu was seen as a vendetta move by the public which worked against Jagan.
