Jagan Worried About EVMs Than Furniture & Rushikonda

The former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has caused turbulence in AP politics with his tweet on EVMs. After Jagan tweeted earlier today that EVMs must be replaced with paper ballots to ensure transparency, several videos of Jagan validating EVMs after winning the 2019 election started to trend on social media.

Now it is the turn of Nara Lokesh to call out Jagan on the EVM topic and he has mentioned that Jagan is looking to divert the topic from stealing furniture and Rushikonda Palace by bringing up the EVM commotion.

Lokesh tweeted that Jagan is anyway allergic to democracy. “Let’s face it Jagan, you’re allergic to democracy. When you won in 2019, EVMs worked beautifully. When you lose in 2024, you blame the EVMs. Such hypocrisy. Perhaps you should reflect on your failed tenure and accept that people have rejected you outright.”

Towards the end, Lokesh questioned Jagan about the burning topics on the furniture that is presently at his camp office which was bought at the expense of state exchequer. “BTW, when are you returning the furniture? And why did you spend 560Cr of money meant for the poor, to build Rishikonda palace for yourself? The people of Andhra Pradesh want answers.” Lokesh posed a straight question to Jagan.
