Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham has officially changed his name to Padmanabha Reddy, following a challenge he made during the election. Mudragada had declared that if Pawan Kalyan won from Pithapuram, he would change his name.
On the counting day, he held a press meet, apologized to anyone and confirmed initiating formalities to change his name. In the latest development, the Andhra Pradesh Government Gazette officially recognized his new name, Padmanabha Reddy. Mudragada joined the YSR Congress Party (YCP) before the elections, although he had previously shown interest in joining the Jana Sena Party.
Despite discussions, Pawan Kalyan did not visit Mudragada campaigned vigorously against Pawan in Pithapuram, criticizing him and questioning his connection to the area.
After the election results are out, there was severe trolling against Mudragada. But, he kept his promise and changed his name officially.
