YCP leader and former minister Perni Nani threw down the gauntlet at the TDP to constitute an inquiry by a sitting judge into the components of the residences of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and YCP boss YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
He demanded that their party was ready for an inquiry into the residences and the lavishness with which both the leaders have been leading their life.
All the papers relating to the registration and the expenditure towards the furniture and others should be produced before the sitting judge to decide who has more wealth between the duo, he said.
Nani was addressing a press conference and he said that even the YCP was ready to produce all the papers relating to the land acquired by the party for their party offices built at various places across the state.
He criticized minister N. Lokesh for trying to project that the YCP boss was enjoying furniture bought with government funds. “The TDP government can send notices and recover the furniture without any delay. We will return them back or pay for the furniture and retain them in Jagan’s residence,” he said.
He said that taking TV9, NTV and Sakshi off the air was injustice and was not a practice to be emulated in a democracy.
