Will Babu & Pawan Accept Sharmila’s Invitation?

While many thought Sharmila would fade away from AP politics after achieving the goal of bringing Jagan down, she is doing nothing as such. In fact, she has started to amp up her political action now.

Sharmila is scheduled to hold YSR Jayanthi celebrations on a grand scale tomorrow, July 8th. A grand event is being held in Mangalagiri tomorrow morning to commemorate YSR Jayanthi and this is going to be a significant political development in AP as Sharmila and Jagan appear to be fighting for YSR loyalist vote bank.

The AP Congress president has already invited Mallikarjuna Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Revanth Reddy and others for the YSR Jayanthi event. There are new media reports that she might even invite CM Chandrababu and deputy CM Pawan Kalyan.

While it is known that Babu and YSR shared a good professional rapport and Pawan also respects YSR, it has to be seen if they would actually accept Sharmila’s invitation and partake in the YSR Jayanthi celebrations tomorrow. But the chances are low, considering that there is a new government in place and there are a lot of logistical challenges to deal with on immediate basis.

As for Sharmila, she is inviting every major political figure for the YSR Jayanthi event, except for her own brother Jagan Mohan Reddy. Jagan, on the other hand is holding a small event in Idupulapaya.
