Payal Makes Political Entry; Gets Plum Post

With ‘Prayanam’ and Young Tiger Jr NTR’s ‘Ooseravelli’ Mumbai beauty Payal Ghosh made inroads to Tollywood. But as both the films failed to impress the audiences, opportunities dried up for Payal. Though she is not in the limelight, her name has made it to the headlines as she alleged Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap of sexually harassing her.

Not stopping here, Payal Ghosh dragged the names of Richa Chadha and Huma Qureshi in this row. However, Richa and Huma both denied Payal’s allegations while Richa filed a defamation case against Payal. Stunned by this, Payal had no other option rather to issue an apology to Richa. This ‘sorry’ has raised doubts on Payal’s allegations and damaged her image too.

To switch these things, Payal took another route and quietly made her political entry. On Monday Payal joined Union Minister Ramdas Athawale-led Republican Party of India (A), in Mumbai. More surprisingly she has been named as the vice president of the women’s wing of the party. Well in no time, Payal switched into the role of a proper politician and met all the women leaders of RPI.

Career wise, Payal could not make big in the industry. Nevertheless with sexual harassment accusations against director Anurag, she got some limelight. But it came crashing down in no time. Yet Payal was constantly in the news and probably this might have led Ramdas Athawale to induct in her party and give her a good post too.

Let’s see how Payal handles politics but this is going to be a tough ball-game.
