Vijayashanthi To Quit Congress? Holds Talks With BJP

Lady superstar Vijayashanthi stepped in politics in the year 1998 and she right away joined then ruling Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP). After BJP going back on separate Telangana, Vijayashanthi was upset with the party and in 2009 she floated her own party. In the course of Telangana moment, Vijayashanthi joined TRS and became MP.

After the separate statehood was achieved, Vijayashanthi jumped into Congress. But her ride hasn’t been that great. In the 2018 Assembly and 2019 Parliament elections, Vijayashanthi was not given a ticket yet she remained in the party as a star campaigner. Every now and then she attacked the ruling TRS party but she is not getting enough support from Congress and so is staying away from the party for the last few months.

Learning about Vijayashanthi’s unhappiness with Congress, BJP has knocked her. This afternoon union minister Kishan Reddy met Vijayashanthi and held discussions. Immediately the political observers started talking that Vijayashanthi might soon quit Congress and return to BJP after over a decade gap.

The interesting bit here, Vijayashanthi has changed her Twitter account bio and nowhere is it mentioned about Congress party. So in all likely the lady superstar will be back to her first political party.
