Pulivendula MLA YS Jagan Mohan Reddy celebrated the last five Diwalis at the Tadepalli CM Residence, surrounded by considerable clout. However, his harrowing defeat in the recent elections means that Jagan is not even in Andhra Pradesh during this Diwali season.
After a mid-week trip to Andhra Pradesh earlier this week, where Jagan toured Pulivendula and held a Praja Darbar for a couple of days, he immediately flew back to Bengaluru by helicopter.
The fact that the once-talismanic politician of the AP political landscape, YS Jagan, isn’t even in the state during the celebrations has sparked discussion. However, since Jagan has been spending most of his time at the lavish Yelahanka Palace in Bengaluru, this Diwali trip might not be too significant for him.
After having mocked Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan for the last five years by painting them as non-resident AP politicians, Jagan is now taking a similar route. It’s amusing how fate can turn the tables on everyone.
