Don’t Force Me To Take Home Ministry : Pawan Kalyan

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Janasena supremo Pawan Kalyan burst into anger during his visit to the Pithapuram constituency over the ongoing atrocities against women, especially minor girls, across the state. He criticized the police department’s lethargic approach to handling criminals and rapists.

On the first day of his visit, Pawan Kalyan inaugurated a science lab at the Zilla Parishad High School in Gollaprolu and interacted with the public shortly afterward. During his speech, Pawan expressed deep disappointment over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, even after the formation of the new government. He blamed the previous government for the poor state of affairs in the police department and issued a serious warning to all officers, urging them to avoid the laziness of the past five years and perform their duties according to the rules.

Pawan questioned the police for their lack of intent in reducing the crime rate and addressing atrocities against women, accusing them of continuing the previous regime’s legacy, during which 30,000 girls reportedly went missing. Directly addressing the police department for sparing criminals who have issued death threats to the Chief Minister, Pawan also called on Home Minister Anitha to take responsibility for the ongoing crimes in the state.

“If the situation continues like this, I may need to take charge as Home Minister,” said Pawan Kalyan, warning against forcing such a situation, as it could lead to greater repercussions. He emphasized that criminals have no caste, creed, or religion, and should be dealt with according to the law without any hesitation. “Why are you hesitating to arrest the criminal who raped a three-year-old girl just because of his caste?” he questioned.

Citing the example of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s government, which has taken a hard stance on criminals, Pawan stated that such practices might become necessary if these atrocities do not stop.
