Telugu Desam Party supremo and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, known to be an administrator, called upon the youth to change their mindset and move ahead with a hope setting Year 2050 as target.
He was addressing the Mumbai IIT students during a webinar, Global Leadership Summit, held via zoom app. Naidu told them that when he could become a Chief Minister hailing from a remote village which had just 20 houses and no proper roads or power supply, they too can achieve bigger things in their life. Determination and hard work will help people achieve even the most tough goals, he said.
Naidu said the students should never fear to face crisis and troubles. “You should be able to think patiently and turn every crisis into an opportunity,” he suggested.
The former CM said that youth should never forget that they are guiding light for the society. He detailed them about the efforts he had put in for the development of Andhra Pradesh as the first chief minister after bifurcation.
“A vision is necessary to achieve anything and an action plan is needed to make the vision a reality. At the same time, action plan alone will not help in achieving things. You will have to strive to implement the action plan,’ he said.
Naidu stressed the need for teamwork in achieving bigger things. “One student alone cannot make things work on a large-scale. To make a vision into reality, it is necessary that youth should form teams and move ahead in a group.”
He said that the students should be able to believe in themselves and understand that they will be able to achieve something significant only if they work as a team. He asserted that the students should make the best use of the technological revolution which was changing the entire world. People can do wonders if technology is exploited to the maximum, he said.
The former CM said that pollution would be the major challenge the entire world would face in the future and asked every student to overcome the problem, at least a part of it. The TDP chief also predicted that youngsters who would strive for improvement of pollution-free technology will be able to carve a niche for themselves in the coming days.
Naidu also shared his experiences during the 40 years of his political career with the IIT students.
