Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has yet again proved his commitment to establishing green energy projects in the state. Naidu believes modern infrastructure facilities, including uninterrupted power supply and smooth roads, will help build ecosystem for any industry, aiding the process of development.
Following the enforcement of the new ICE Policy 2024, NTPC Green Energy Ltd. signed a joint venture with NREDCAP to set up renewable energy projects worth Rs 2,00,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh.
The RE projects will focus on establishing 25 GW solar/wind, 10GW pumped storage and 0.5 MMTPA Green Hydrogen.
This initiative is expected to create over one lakh jobs and position the state as a renewable energy leader at the forefront in India’s green energy revolution.
Reports on the joint venture triggered encomiums on Naidu for being a visionary leader. Many of the netizens hoped it would be a big milestone for Andhra Pradesh.
Investments have been flowing into the state since the TDP coalition government has assumed charge as the authorities are dedicated to put Andhra Pradesh in a leading position on the world map.
