Maharashtra has witnessed an intense and exhausting election campaign, with the BJP-led Mahayuti going head-to-head against the beleaguered Congress+ alliance. Right from the start, the BJP+ alliance took the lead, while Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress appeared on the back foot.
Now that the counting is underway, the early trends are out, and they are overwhelmingly in favor of the BJP+ alliance.
As per the latest reports, BJP+ has crossed the magic figure and is leading in 153 seats, while Congress+ is trailing with 97.
Going by this trend, BJP+ is projected to win 200+ seats in the election, marking a massive victory for the alliance. Congress, Shiv Sena, and NCP, which seemed disorganized during the campaign, are being brushed aside.
