‘Jagan Assembly Ki Vasthe Mee Thaata Teesthadu’

After being confined to 11 seats in the election, YCP boss Jagan Mohan Reddy couldn’t even secure the opposition leader status in the assembly. Vexed by this, Jagan has decided to forgo the assembly sessions and vows not to enter the assembly house till he is given opposition leader status.

In this context, controversial and attention-grabbing YCP MLC Duvvada Srinivas has made a wild comment in an attempt to hype up Jagan Mohan Reddy.

“Why are you(NDA government) scared to give opposition leader status to Jagan Mohan Reddy? Are you scared that he will ridicule you all in the assembly? Jagan set the condition of coming to assembly only as opposition leader because only then would he be given enough time to speak in the house. Why is the NDA government scared to give him opposition leader status?” Duvvada questioned.

Duvvada’s exact words in Telugu were “Jagan assembly ki vasthe mee thaata teestadu ani bhayapaduthunnara”.

This comes at a time when the NDA MLAs are openly welcoming Jagan to come to the assembly. Regarding Jagan’s demand for opposition leader status, the NDA alliance is stating that it is for the public to decide who is CM and who is opposition leader. If the voters have confined Jagan to 11 seats and not give him opposition status, then it wouldn’t be right for the government to forgo this and accord him against public’s will.

But unfazed by this, YCP leaders and Jagan himself are vying for opposition status which is pretty much out of practical bounds considering the nature of public mandate in the recent election.
