Kethireddy Venkataramireddy, former YSRCP MLA of Dharmavaram in Anantapur district, is no stranger to the public. Known for his fiery speeches and active involvement in local issues, he gained popularity for his daily “Good Morning Dharmavaram” interactions with the people during his tenure as an MLA.
He was also credited with addressing various local problems. However, after BJP won the Dharmavaram constituency and BJP MLA Sathya Kumar Yadav became a minister, the political scene in the region began to change drastically.
It has been observed that Kethireddy is no longer as visible as he was before, with some suggesting that he now finds himself confined to his home.
This shift in his approach is said to be due to the fear that any criticism of the coalition government could affect his business interests and properties. As a result, Kethireddy is now staying indoors and posting videos pointing out the mistakes of the YSRCP.
However, legal troubles continue to haunt him. Recently, a controversy has erupted regarding the alleged illegal acquisition of 45 acres of land during his tenure.
The land in question is part of a key 1700-acre reservoir in Dharmavaram, where Kethireddy reportedly encroached upon 45 acres and registered the land in his relative’s name.
Ruling party supporters demanding that the encroached land be reclaimed and heavy fines to be imposed. While construction has already taken place on the land, including farmhouses, horse stables, and sports facilities, efforts are underway to remove these constructions.
Despite the registration of the land, legal battles are expected as authorities are stepping up their efforts. Kethireddy is likely to face intense legal scrutiny, with speculation growing that he may eventually be held accountable for these actions.
