Will TDP Cadre Accept Vasireddy Padma?

One of the very few Kamma leaders in YSR Congress, Vasireddy Padma has waved goodbye to the party and is preparing the stage for her switch to TDP. She has already met Vijayawada TDP MP Kesineni Chinni and is scheduled to join TDP on 9 December in the presence of Nara Lokesh.

However, the hardcore TDP cadres on social media are expressing their discontentment with Vasireddy Padma joining their party.

The principal complaint against Padma is that she was a strong vocalist against Chandrababu Naidu. She used to often sit in front of the media and make provocative comments against the TDP boss.

At one point after the 2019 election, she even said Chandrababu must keep his mouth closed and stay in his house. This severely anguished the TDP cadres back then.

Perhaps due to the fact that she is a Kamma leaders, the YCP high command used to often instigate her against Chandrababu Naidu and give her media attention.

However, Vasireddy appears to be done with the vindictive nature of the YCP camp and is looking to switch loyalties towards TDP. So, despite the repulsion of certain hardcore TDO sympathisers, this political move is nearly confirmed to happen.

But given her refined vocal prowess and in-depth understanding of Jagan’s mentality as she was with his party right from the first day, she cold soon start exposing the monopolistic and destructive mechanisms of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
