TTD Must Focus On That Big Issue Now!

The new TTD board under the chairmanship of BR Naidu has brought in several adequate reforms to the operations and management of the Tirumala temple.

In the jurisdiction of the new board, the general consensus has been that the pathways, washrooms, and the premises in general are cleaner than ever. The quality of the laddu has also improved considerably. Topping it all off, non-Hindu workers in Tirumala were sent out in VRS, which was appreciated by everyone.

However, there is one sensitive and top priority issue that needs to be addressed by the board now and it has something to do with the Instagram reel culture.

For the last few years, an infamous and antisocial pattern has been emerging where people have been making dance reels and filming entertainment videos in front of the holy Tirumala temple.

There was this recent case of a young girl dancing for Pushpa 2 song at Tirumala ghat which caught the ire and she was reprimanded for her action. In tune with this, there are people who are filming videos of them dancing in front of the Tirumala temple just to get more views.

Tirumala temple is a holy place of worship and the sanctity of the same can’t be compromised. So, this Instagram reel culture in front of Tirumala must be curbed at the earliest. This can be made possible only with a considerate and public-centric board like the one in existence now is given full power.

There’s a huge public outcry for the TTD board to look into this issue now and address it at the earliest.

The TTD has made it clear that such punishable actions in front of the Tirumala temple could lead to getting the phones and cameras seized. But this disgusting culture is not stopping.

So, perhaps the onus is on the TTD to set a strong and dominating precedent by taking severe action against these social media freaks. If a few people are given supremely harsh treatment for doing such actions, then this culture might go down in general.
