For the last few months, BRS working president, KTR had been under the radar of the investigating agencies in Telangana. In accordance, the ACB has now filed a case against KTR in regard to the Formula E scandal that is alleged against him.
As per the latest reports, the ACB has filed a case against KTR for allegedly giving verbal consent for siphoning off of Rs 55 crore government money to foreign entities.
The prime accused in the case, Ex-MAUD principal secretary Arvind Kumar officially admitted transferring Rs 55 Cr funds to event organisers on KTR’s verbal orders. With this admission, the ACB has now registered the case against KTR.
This happened after the Telangana cabinet instigated the Chief Secretary to instigate the ACB to file charges against KTR. Shortly after the cabinet instigated the CS, the ACB case was filed and it has KTR’s name in it.
Just a couple of days ago, Governor Jishnu Dev Varma reportedly granted permission to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to prosecute KTR over alleged financial irregularities in the Hyderabad Formula E races that were held in the city in February 2023.
At this rate, it shouldn’t be long before the ACB summons KTR for investigation in the Formula E scandal, where he is accused of verbally consenting the siphoning off of Rs 55 crores from the Telangana exchequer to certain private entities.
