The tragic stampede at Sandhya Theater claimed the life of Revathi and left her son Sreetej fighting for life. In view of this, the police commissioner has already confirmed that the government will pay all the medical expenses. Now, Telangana minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy also confirmed the same during the Assembly sessions.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has expressed his condolences and announced financial assistance of ₹25 lakhs for Revathi’s family. This aid will be provided through the Komatireddy Pratik Reddy Foundation, established in memory of his late son, who died in a car accident on the Outer Ring Road 13 years ago.
Speaking at the Assembly, Komatireddy criticized the Telugu film industry for its lack of responsibility in addressing the incident. He pointed out actor Allu Arjun for failing to fulfill his promise of supporting Revathi’s family.
The minister assured that the Telangana government would cover all medical expenses for Sreetej’s treatment until his complete recovery. He noted that the Principal Secretary of the Health Department would follow up on the same.
