Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy thanked his counterpart in Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu for taking a favourable decision and reserving slots for the darshan of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala to the elected representatives of Telangana.
According to a new order issued by the government of Andhra Pradesh, every MLA, MLC and MP’s recommendation letter for Lord Balaji’s darshan in Tirumala would be honoured twice in a week (from Monday to Thursday). Two recommendation letters will be accepted from each of the elected representatives, allowing VIP Break Darshan or Special Entry Darshan, for six devotees, with each letter.
This development comes after elected representatives from Telangana alleged that the TTD was showing discrimination against the Telangana devotees.
In his letter, Revanth Reddy had reminded that people in Telangana have a strong spiritual connection with Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala. By allowing the Telangana public to have the dharshan of Lord Venkateswara, Revanth Reddy felt that Chandrababu Naidu has reinforced the strong bond between the two Telugu states.
