The YSR Congress Party (YCP) is still reeling from the unexpected departure of Vijaya Sai Reddy, who was considered the number two in the party, second only to Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. While the party has witnessed the exit of other senior leaders, losing someone of Vijaya Sai’s stature is a blow that will be hard to recover from.

Now, just hours after announcing his retirement from politics and distancing himself from Jagan’s side, Vijaya Sai Reddy has made a significant move at the judicial level.

According to recent media reports, Vijaya Sai has sought permission from the CBI court to travel abroad for nearly two months. He has requested approval to visit Norway and France from February 10 to March 30.

The CBI court has asked for a response from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) regarding this request and has postponed the next hearing to February 27.

This move is raising eyebrows as it suggests that Vijaya Sai intends to stay abroad for an extended period—50 days, which is unusually long. This request comes immediately after his decision to quit the YCP, fueling speculation and intrigue about his next steps.

Meanwhile, Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is currently abroad in London, has yet to return to India, while his once close associate, Vijaya Sai, has quit the party and is asking for permission to leave the country for nearly two months. These developments are creating a strange and uncertain atmosphere within the YCP, leaving many of its loyal supporters baffled by the party’s internal situation.
